I’m sure this film was made with great care and love, BUT what it lacked most, in my opinion, was BREATH. Opera singers learn to control their breath to captivate ours. And I agree with other less favorable reviews that the opening scene was a really bad example of lip-syncing, especially because I couldn’t see Ms. Jolie breathing! Sure, Callas lived a glamorous life, but for me, the focus seemed more on the visuals in this film. It’s a movie that made me stop watching until the end, and I’m sorry about that. I, too, had high hopes for these two iconic women. “One Hundred Years of Solitude” is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month. Check out our December schedule for more!
